Be advised that there have been several vehicular break-ins reported in Lea Estates north of Applegate. As a precaution all vehicles should be garaged or parked in driveways close to the rear of the house and locked. Leave nothing of value in sight within the vehicle. If you have anti-theft devices or alarms, be sure they are set. (Posted 11/10/2009)

"Something Good" is about to happen for walkers in Friendly Hills East Section
After filing many complaints with Metro Public Works about the condition of our crumbling sidewalks we have received word that repair/replacement work is coming our way. Our section is slated for side walk renovation thanks to the Federal Stimulus Grant soon to be released. The majority of problems are at the intersections where side streets enter into Michael Ray Drive. Out of a list of 19 locations being repaired with stimulus money in District 23, we got eleven of them.  Let's be proud of this accomplishment.
Work is scheduled at the following addresses located on Michael Ray Drive.
(1) 8605 (2) 8609 (3) 8611 (4) 8619 (5) 8621 (6) 8627 (7) 8701 (8) 8705 (9) 8709
Also: 8417 Acme Way (at the stop sign) and across the street at 8420 Acme Way ( section of side walk on Michael Ray)

Street repair
Pot holes to be filled on Acme Way.
The developer of Hidden Creek is to mill, patch and resurface the pot holes caused by heavy equipment traveling on our streets to their development.
We asked for much more but it's our understanding that the original developer is gone and a partner is trying to do what he can (afford) to correct the problem that was created on Acme Way. If anyone one has any "pull" please feel free to use it so we can get more than just a patch job.

People also will also be e-mailed weekly tips for staying in shape — and they can learn about free fitness classes in Metro Parks and walks and runs for charity events.
(07/20/2010) Numerous vehicles on Juarez Ct,  Malibu Dr., and Timmy Court were broken into over the last few days. The break-ins are occurring between 2 and 5AM. Locking the vehicle has no effect as the thieves apparently are using a slim-jim type of device. If you can't park inside a garage, you should park in a well lit area as close to your house as possible and remove any valuables from the vehicle, including any in the trunk.

Report any suspicious activity to the police.
